Job Description

An innovative consumer services brand are enhancing their internal data capability. To support this exciting period of investment, they are looking for a Data Engineering Manager, to join them, on a permanent basis.

The business are undergoing a wider digital transformation and data is playing a BIG part, having huge investment and buy in from the top. They are shaking things up and redesigning what data means to the business, supporting wider technology areas and building out their new AWS / Snowflake platform. Growing their internal data engineering capability, eventually, moving to a global unified data platform. Which will bring the data engineering & analytics teams together, to improve ways of working and supporting the customer journey.

Your role will specifically be, to lead the data engineering team – design, build and run with the enterprise data solutions, within the AWS / Snowflake platform. As well as being given the platform, to shape the strategy and support with setting the stage for the future data landscape! The role is split, 50/50 across hands on and leading the team – giving you the right autonomy and tools to ‘stay relevant’, whilst supporting and growing the team.


Key skills (but not limited to):

  • Data Engineering background - Lead / Senior / Principal
  • Cloud Data Engineer – AWS
  • Snowflake
  • Strong leadership skills – coaching, mentoring, supporting junior data engineers
  • Managing in a fast pace working environment
  • Working across CI / CD
  • Modern data engineering – data lake, data bricks, data mesh etc.
